murder

A 20-year-old man who murdered his mother in The Hague has been ordered to undergo mandatory psychiatric treatment (TBS) instead of prison, after the court found him fully unaccountable due to schizophrenia. The ruling means indefinite treatment in a secure facility, with release decided by court review.

A woman was found dead in a garden in Boxtel on August 27. The resident turned himself in and was arrested on suspicion of murder. Police are investigating, with forensic teams working under a tent due to rain.
